If you had an unlimited amount of time and funds to make your genius hour project all it could be, what would it look like?
For this project I only have limited time to work on it in class so therefore it wont be my greatest work. If I had all the time and money I needed I could really make this project incredible. I have always thought of ways that I can impact people and hopefully make an influence on their decisions to not drink and drive. As a high school student I have heard my fair share of party stories and seen many poor decisions be made, so whenever I get an opportunity to step in and make a difference I take it. This could be an opportunity to really make a difference if given endless time and money.
I am working on making an Animoto video that depicts many accidents and statistics of drinking and driving, but with limited time it'll be hard to give it its full potential. I also would love to be able to show the presentation to other are schools and get guest speakers to tell about stories and situations they have encountered. The thing I would desire to do most is something that I believe has a huge impact on student, mock accidents. I have talked to students from both Norway and Iron Mountain and got great feedback about the mock accident. This is something that really shows the students what could happen and how terrible it really is. I believe this would be an awesome event to present to the staff and students. I don't think that high school kids really understand and comprehend how their decision to drink and drive or let a friend drink and drive can affect so many lives, and not in a positive way.
