The most useful source I have found for my genius hour project so far is the MADD web site. MADD stands for Mothers Against Drunk Driving. Within this website there are all different kinds of facts and information about drinking and driving and underage drinking. The mission is to stop drunk driving, support the victims, and prevent underage drinking all in all. The numbers present on this page are intended to help change the perspective of people to realize how big of a deal this really is.
The second most useful source in making my project thus far is animator.com. On this website you can create very high quality and professional looking videos and presentations. I intend to create a powerful, moving, eye opening video. I hope to have it present to not only our student body, but also other area schools.
I could be more effective with my genius hour time if there way to save images and put them into my video from the chrome books. Other than doing the weekly blogs I have most all of my research done. I use extra class time in my graphics class to go on the computer to get statistics. Having all of my information already will give me more time to create a more powerful video. I will have the time to put things in an orderly fashion and just inhance the video in many ways.
With almost all the information I need already in my video just adding a few more photos to it will be easy. Trying to find appropriate, realistic, powerful pictures is kind of a difficult task. Most pictures available on Google are from mock accidents or staged accidents. I desire to have real accidents presented in my video but finding high quality pictures of such things is difficult.
